Maybe a few in both wouldn't hurt, as long as prophesies stick to core profs (no sin, rit, derv or para) and Factions stick to core + faction professions (no derv or para)

Yes for most people adding more heroes is pointless... don't even use the ones we have, still no one will force you to get them I suppose, and there really are fewer players to play with nowadays, and although henchmen are decent a lot of the time, some things are just not doable with them alone.
Still... prophesies and factions was also in some ways better without the heroes... I'm not sure.

Regardless of this hero question I recommend to those that haven't to get nightfall and eotn. Imo worth the investment, heroes or not.

In Prophecies, at least after finished the jungle part, the story just focus on the player character and the Vizer too much, even Evennia does not have much part. It's a chance to improve the story(The overall plot is already the best of all 4).

there is one where you don't need other campaigns or expansions (I think) still... only 1 though. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/M.O.X

Have to say if the story was revived a bit and new things was to be found in there... I might play through it again.

No. From that page: "M.O.X. can be recruited by any Level 10 character on an account that includes each of the three major campaigns". Without either NF or EotN you cannot have heroes; no exceptions.

i also thought of their spots: 1 in maguuma jungle, 1 in southern shiverpeaks and 1 in desert

as for factions, 1 could be on shing jea island, 1 in luxon territory, and 1 in kurzick of course

maybe basic heroes like monk, ele and ranger

again: just for fun, which is very important in this game

I agree! Great idea! Although, maybe we can get Nika in Marketplace and Master Togo as a hero after beating shiro. That would be cool too.

Just a reminder, but euhm, Togo dies... And since death usually is kind of permanent (not including ressurection from the in game mechanics) him being a hero seems kind of like an issue to me...

The crew can join after reach LA or Jungle.

Mo:Lina(Mhelno is too important for Factions)
M:Some Forgotten

W:Talon Silverwing(Joins after Warning the Tengu)

Luxon
R: Daeman
E:Argo
M:Seaguard Hala

Kurzick
N:Brutus or Sheena
Mo: Danika
M:Erys Vasburg

After Sunjiang, before you beat Shiro, you have to make a choice, depend on which faction you pick first.

A:Nika(Before or After Tahnnakai Temple)
Rt:Professor Gai (Can be the first hero you get)

This. I'd really leave nf and eotn for very last if it wasn't to grab heroes. If all campaigns had heroes (as for inscription, I can' really see why improvements can't be retroactive) I could just play them for the fun of the campaign itself, not to be able to have my heroteam complete.
